over IP and mobile networks, today announced that the Niagara® Pro II has been named the
winner of Streaming Media magazine’s 2009 Readers’ Choice Awards in the Hardware Encoder
(SD) category. This is the third consecutive year that a ViewCast product has received a
Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Award. The company’s entire Osprey® product line won in
the Encoding Hardware category in 2007, and the Osprey 700e HD video capture card won in
the Encoding Hardware category in 2008.
 
The Niagara® Pro II is the professional’s choice for standard definition video streaming

Streaming Media’s annual Readers' Choice Awards recognize the industry’s most innovative
products and services within the streaming industry. This year’s award boasted nearly 200
product and service nominations in 22 categories with more than 5,000 readers casting their
votes online. A gala reception was held at Streaming Media West on November 18 to celebrate
the announcement of this year's Readers' Choice Awards winners.
